The Paper Convention Collective has officially launched, at the Finders Keepers [Carriageworks]! After months of preparation, organising, designing, creating + making, skyping and discussing we have started with a huge PAPER-BANG!!!!
We were overwhelmed with the response and support from paper lovers, creators, designers & general paper people turning up in their droves to see our undeniably colourful & dynamic paper installation by paper-duo Trial&Error, where people were invited to help build the environment for the duration of the market and viewers became an integral part of the work – its all about collaboration & interaction!
We got people involved by signing up to our PAPER CONVENTION COLLECTIVE mailing list, we sold our notepads in order to raise some funds for next years event [all made out of 100% paper offcuts] and the absolute hit were our paper masks, wow did people love these!! Our ‘Polaroid’ hall of paper fame was enticing and people just couldn’t get enough of paper!
And we ran PAPER WORKSHOPS the entire time, from paper flower bomb making to zine making and much more, and from kids to adults, we all came together to celebrate & collaborate with PAPER!
We will be posting more photos from the event soon, including some fun animation, but until then – DREAM, BUILD & CREATE WITH PAPER!
